Operations Director Ang Dorje Sherpa brings 16 years of logistical expertise and 8000-meter summit experience to our Kathmandu headquarters.
When our groups arrive in Kathmandu, Ang Dorje Sherpa is usually the steady hand ensuring every permit, porter, and flight connects seamlessly. Having been with Himalaya Treks since 2008, he transitioned from high-altitude guiding to leading our operations department, bringing deep familiarity with the Khumbu and Annapurna regions. Fluent in English, Nepali, Sherpa, and Hindi, he bridges the gap between international travelers and mountain communities with calm efficiency.
Ang Dorje spent years leading expeditions across 8000-meter giants, including Everest and Cho Oyu, before stepping into his current leadership role. Despite managing our complex logistics from the city, he still laces up his boots every autumn to inspect high-altitude tea house routes and check trail conditions personally. Around the office, he is known for drinking endless cups of black tea while meticulously cross-checking weather forecasts against satellite maps.
