Trip overview
Our 21-day Tsum Valley with Manaslu Circuit Trek combines two of Nepal's most rugged and culturally distinct mountain regions into a single continuous journey. We start by following the Budhi Gandaki River before turning east into the secluded Tsum Valley, an ancient Himalayan pocket where Tibetan Buddhism, traditional stone villages, and historical gompas have remained remarkably preserved.
After exploring upper Tsum settlements like Mu Gompa and Rachen Gompa, our route reconnects with the main Manaslu trail. We ascend through high-altitude settlements such as Samagaon and Samdo, spending critical days acclimatising to the thin air before attempting the crossing of Larkya La Pass at 5,106 m. The descent brings us down through alpine moraines and forested river valleys into the Annapurna foothills at Dharapani.
This itinerary is physically demanding and suits experienced trekkers comfortable with long walking days, basic teahouse accommodation, and significant daily elevation gains. Because the region falls within a restricted zone, independent trekking is prohibited, and our licensed guides manage all permit verifications, route navigation, and safety protocols throughout the expedition.
