Trip overview
Our Pokhara City Tour offers a structured introduction to the cultural and natural landmarks surrounding the lakeside city. Pokhara serves as the main staging ground for expeditions and treks into the Annapurna Conservation Area, yet the valley itself holds deep religious and historical significance. We designed this day tour for travelers who want to understand the region beyond the main trekking corridors, exploring local waterways, underground shrines, and alpine archives.
Our lead guide meets our guests at their hotel around eight in the morning for private vehicle transfers between sites. We begin along the shores of Phewa Lake before moving toward the subterranean limestone formations of Gupteshwor Temple and the cascading waters of Patale Chango, known locally as Davis Falls. We conclude our route at the International Mountaineering Museum, which archives the history of mountaineering across Nepal's eight-thousand-metre peaks.
This tour is suitable for all fitness levels, requiring only standard walking capability on urban pathways and stone staircases. While we primarily operate multi-day treks in the high Himalayas, this excursion provides an essential low-altitude counterpart to understand the geography and heritage of the region.

Day 1
Pokhara Sightseeing: Phewa Lake to Mountaineering Museum
Meals: B
Our day begins promptly at eight in the morning as our guide meets our group at the hotel. We board our private vehicle and drive to the shores of Phewa Lake, where colorful wooden boats line the banks and views stretch toward the Annapurna range. We then travel southwest to Patale Chango, also known as Davis Falls, to observe the surface water disappear underground.
Adjacent to the waterfall, we descend into the damp limestone passages of Gupteshwor Temple to view the natural Shivalinga. Our final stop brings us to the International Mountaineering Museum, shaped like mountain peaks, where we review the records of past Himalayan summits and the local ecology of the Annapurna Conservation Area before returning to your hotel.
