Trip overview
Our seven-day itinerary explores the southern hills of the Everest region, following quiet ridgelines far from the main tourist corridors. We designed this route for hikers who want to experience authentic village life and high viewpoints without committing to extreme altitudes or technical terrain.
The trail weaves through dense forests of rhododendron, magnolia, and pine before breaking out onto open alpine pastures. We walk past traditional farm settlements inhabited largely by Sherpa communities, where Buddhist mani walls and chortens line our paths. Spring brings dense blooms of wild flowers across these hills, while autumn delivers clear horizons and crisp morning air.
We reach our highest point at Pike Peak, standing at 4,302 m. From this vantage point, our team watches the sunrise illuminate a panorama that stretches across the central and eastern Himalayan chains, including Mt. Everest. While the daily walking hours are manageable, we maintain a steady pace to adapt comfortably to the gain in elevation.
