At a glance
Trip overview
We lead this combined cultural and alpine itinerary through the Langtang region, taking you from the winding valley tracks of Syabrubesi up into historic Tamang settlements and further onto the classic Langtang Valley route. Our route connects old-growth forests, terraced hillsides, and high mountain pastures beneath major peaks.
This journey suits hikers who want more than just mountain views. We spend our days walking between ancient Buddhist villages like Gatlang, Thuman, and Briddim, where the Lama community preserves distinct dialects, architecture, and monastic traditions. We also dip into natural hot water springs along the way to ease trail fatigue.
Beyond the village trails, our path climbs along the Bhote Koshi and Langtang Khola river corridors toward Lama Hotel and Langtang village, eventually reaching our high point at Kyangjin at 3830 m. While the trail avoids extreme mountaineering altitudes, it involves sustained daily ascents of 5 to 8 hours over uneven stone steps and dirt tracks, requiring solid trekking fitness.
