At a glance

Trip overview

We have designed this seven-day itinerary specifically for photographers looking to document the rich cultural tapestry, ancient architecture, and daily routines of the Kathmandu Valley. Far from a standard sightseeing trip, our route connects historic royal squares, sacred pilgrimage hubs, and rustic agricultural settlements that retain their medieval character. We take you through urban alleys, temple complexes, and hillside viewpoints to help you capture diverse photographic subjects under varying natural light.

Our journey covers seven distinct UNESCO World Heritage sites across Kathmandu, Patan, Bhaktapur, and Changu Narayan. We walk through bustling courtyards where metalworkers, potters, and woodcarvers still practice centuries-old trades, and we observe religious rituals along the Bagmati River. We balance our days between architectural documentation and street photography, allowing adequate time in the morning and evening golden hours.

We keep the pacing manageable, utilizing private vehicles for all inter-city transfers and staying in comfortable three-star hotels along the way. While we include group discussions and reviews, our primary focus is putting you on location at the right time. Whether you shoot with a compact camera or a full-frame kit, our lead guides ensure you navigate the local environment respectfully and efficiently.
