Trip overview
Our five-day Everest View Heli Tour is designed for travelers who have limited time or wish to experience the Khumbu region without enduring long, strenuous walking days on dusty trails. We blend fixed-wing mountain flights, charter helicopter transfers, and gentle walks through Sherpa settlements, allowing you to immerse yourself in the high alpine environment with maximum comfort.
We have structured this journey to suit travelers of varied fitness levels who want to witness the world's highest peaks up close. Throughout the tour, we stay at comfortable accommodations, including a luxury stay at the Everest View Hotel at 3880m, which provides panoramic windows looking out toward Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam.
Cultural immersion is a core part of this itinerary. We walk through Khumjung village at 3790m, visiting historic sites established by Sir Edmund Hillary's Himalayan Trust, including the local school and monastery. Our lead guides provide context on Sherpa culture, Buddhist traditions, and the ecology of Sagarmatha National Park.
While this is an easy tour that avoids rigorous trekking, we still operate at high elevations. Our team carries oximeters and first-aid kits on all departures, carefully monitoring your acclimatisation as we ascend to the upper valleys of the Solukhumbu district.

Good to know
Altitude & acclimatisation
We reach a maximum elevation of 3880m at the Everest View Hotel. While this is lower than Everest Base Camp, altitude can still affect visitors. Our guides monitor your health daily using oximeters and maintain a slow, measured pace on all walks.
Best time to tour
We operate this tour during the dry seasons of spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). These months provide the clearest skies and most reliable weather conditions for mountain flights and helicopter operations.
Fitness expectations
This is classified as an easy tour. We do not require prior multi-day trekking experience, as transport is handled primarily by aircraft and helicopters, with only short walks of about 30 minutes between landing sites and accommodations.
Flight delays and weather
Mountain aviation in Nepal is dependent on weather conditions. In peak seasons, flights to and from Lukla may occasionally operate out of Manthali Airport in Ramechhap rather than Kathmandu to manage air traffic congestion.
