Trip overview
We offer this four-day helicopter itinerary for travelers who want to witness the highest peaks in the Khumbu region without undertaking a multi-week trek on foot. Our journey combines a full day exploring the historic plazas and UNESCO World Heritage temples of Kathmandu Valley with an aerial mountain flight deep into the Himalayas.
On the core flight day, we depart from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu and fly across the middle hills before landing briefly at Hillary Tenzing Airport in Lukla. From there, our aircraft climbs above glacial rivers and traditional Sherpa settlements, carrying us toward the foot of Mount Everest, Lhotse, and Nuptse.
We schedule a landing at Kala Patthar to stand before the towering rock faces and view the Khumbu Glacier from above. Our route then takes us over the turquoise waters of the Gokyo Lakes before descending to Syangboche for breakfast with panoramic views of Ama Dablam.
This tour suits travelers with limited time or physical constraints who still require close proximity to the high mountains. Weather conditions in the mountains dictate our flight schedule, and our team monitors conditions closely to ensure safe operations throughout the journey.

Good to know
Mountain weather and delays
Himalayan weather is volatile and can change rapidly, particularly around Lukla and the high passes. If clouds or high winds prevent safe flying, we hold the right to delay or reschedule the helicopter flight to ensure safety.
Altitude considerations
Although this tour avoids strenuous trekking, our helicopter lands at high altitudes including Kala Patthar. Visitors should move slowly during the landing stops to minimize the onset of mild altitude sickness.
Fitness expectations
This trip is classed as easy because it removes the physical strain of multi-day hiking. Basic mobility is sufficient for boarding the helicopter and walking short distances at viewpoints.
Clothing and layers
Temperatures at high-altitude viewpoints are cold even when Kathmandu is warm. We recommend packing windproof outer shells, thermal base layers, and sturdy footwear for the landing sites.
