Mountain Biking

Our mountain biking itineraries cross diverse Himalayan terrain, ranging from the technical singletrack along the Kathmandu Valley rim at elevations around 2000 metres to high-altitude jeep roads across the Mustang region exceeding 3800 metres. We also navigate sections of the Annapurna Circuit, balancing demanding ascents with sustained descents. This riding suits experienced cyclists with strong technical handling skills and solid cardiovascular endurance, as daily stages cover varying distances across remote, rugged paths where conditions require constant focus.

We operate these trips during two distinct seasonal windows: the pre-monsoon months from March to May when rhododendrons bloom and trails are dry, and the post-monsoon period from September to November which offers clear skies and stable weather. Winter riding remains viable at lower elevations within the middle hills, though high passes face snow obstruction. Throughout every journey, our logistics are managed by experienced lead guides and certified wilderness first responders, supported by dedicated mechanics who maintain the fleet and a backup support vehicle where vehicle access permits.

Safety and pacing remain central to our operational philosophy. We maintain a strict guide-to-guest ratio, typically one lead rider and one sweep rider for every six participants, ensuring personalized attention on technical descents and ascents. We handle all gear transfers, mechanical support, and route logistics so you can focus on the physical demands of the trail. Whether you are navigating ancient trade routes in Upper Mustang or descending forest ridges above the capital, our team provides the regional expertise required for unsupported terrain.
