Day Hikes

Our day hikes offer accessible ridge circuits and sunrise viewpoints situated within striking distance of Kathmandu and Pokhara. These routes typically range from 1,500 metres to 2,800 metres in altitude, taking between four and seven hours of active walking. We design these excursions for travellers with limited time, families, or trekkers seeking acclimatisation routes before heading into higher Himalayan regions like the Annapurna or Everest zones. Expect well-defined footpaths passing through terraced farmland, rhododendron forests, and traditional hill settlements.

We operate these single-day programmes year-round, though the optimal seasons run from October to May. During autumn and winter, clear skies provide expansive views of the Langtang, Ganesh Himal, and Annapurna ranges. Spring brings blooming wildflowers across the lower hills, while the monsoon period from June to September requires careful route selection due to muddy paths and occasional cloud cover, though morning departures often remain clear.

Every day hike is led by government-licensed local guides who maintain a strict 1-to-6 guide-to-guest ratio to ensure personal attention and safety. Our team carries comprehensive first aid kits, pulse oximeters, and reliable communication devices. We manage all private trailhead transfers, park permits, and packed lunches, allowing you to focus entirely on the trail and the surrounding mountain landscape without logistical concerns.
